Mango, often referred to as the “King of Fruits,” is one of India’s most important fruit crops, widely appreciated for its rich flavor, aroma, and nutritional value. It is extensively used for fresh consumption as well as in processed forms like pulp, juice, pickles, and desserts. Mango is the tropical fruit of the tree Mangifera indica, belonging to the cashew family (Anacardiaceae), and is native to South Asia.

STORAGE :

The mature green fruits would be stored at room temperature for about 4-10 days depending upon the variety. The harvested fruits are pre-cooled to 10-120 C and then stored at an appropriate temperature. The fruits of Dashehari should be stored at 120 C, Langra at
140 C 85-90 % relative humidity.
